Wet n Wild Ta-Da! Eraser Silicone-Free Waterproof Eye And Lip Makeup Remover is a new, affordable non-oily eye and lip makeup remover that retails for $6.49 (4.04 oz). I grabbed a bottle of this randomly when I placed an Ulta order even though I’m pretty much a Lancome Bi-Facil kind of girl. I’m pretty much a cheapskate when it comes to eye makeup remover. I HATE paying premium prices for it. I think it stems from the fact that I used a lot which means I’m purchasing it a lot more often than other beauty items which in turn means I’m spending a lot more money on it in comparison to other items. So yeah, I hate the idea of paying $30+ dollars for a makeup remover. That being said, Bi-Facil is very expensive! I tend to purchase it when it’s 50% off during one of Ulta’s beauty sales. I’ll stock up on a few bottles and they’ll last me until the next sale. I know a lot of people consider the L’Oreal green bottle the same formula as Bi-Facil (it’s actually very good) but I hate how small that bottle is! I can go through it in two weeks. Might I say that’s one of my main pet peeves about drugstore eye makeup remover? Why are the bottles so damn small? 2-4 oz is simply NOT enough eye makeup remover.
Wet n Wild Ta-Da! Eraser Silicone-Free Waterproof Eye And Lip Makeup Remover is packaged in a 4.4 oz bottle and ranges in price from $6-$6.49. Its claim to fame is its silicone-free formula. I honestly don’t know if this matters to anyone. But they seem to really want to push that part of the formula. Personally, I don’t really mind the cones but perhaps some of you do! As I state above I’m not a big fan of the size of this. I can run through it fairly fast and wish someone, anyone (not just Wet n Wild) would realize that a bottle of eye makeup remover needs to be 8 or more ounces. It would make life a lot easier if we didn’t constantly have to replace it right?
This formula appears to be bi-phase and if you shake it up it gets a bit cloudly as it combines. However, it isn’t oily or slick when I use it. It feels like water! I did notice a little bit of a sting when I first used it but I only experienced that once and once only. I used it as both an eye and lip remover. On my lips, it did a good job removing long-wearing matte lipstick. I did have to tug a bit during the removal but that’s fairly normal. It didn’t have a nasty taste and felt like water on my lips and didn’t make them dry after use.
On my eyes, I was a bit disappointed. It’s ok. It does an ok job removing eye makeup but it struggles a little with mascara. I still had a bit of mascara left as when I washed my face I could see streaks of it on my face as rubbed in my cleansing oil. As for waterproof mascara it was ok as well! It struggled a little in that area as I saturated an entire cotton round with it and I still had a good deal of mascara left on my eyes after use.
I probably save this for removing lip products but likely won’t use it on my eyes again. I won’t be repurchasing it either once I use it up. It’s just not that great a formula. I’d recommend saving money on this one. It’s just ok.
