How To Control Pests In Your Home This Year

This is a collaborative post.

In recent years, the UK has seen a rise in the number of household pests, and more and more people have sought the services of experts to help them combat home invasions of this nature.

How big is the problem?

There are currently over 150 million rats in the UK according to Pest.co.uk and thanks to the speed in which they breed, experts are warning homeowners may see more and more rats enter their homes or gardens in the coming months.

However, rats aren’t the only pests in the home you need to worry about; there are many other concerns facing homeowners. Estimates from Ibis World put the pest control market size at £653 million, with figures expected to reach £714 million by the end of 2022.

Other common household pests include; spiders, bedbugs, field mice, cockroaches, ants and birds. In Greater London alone, call outs for mice surpassed 30,000, and wasp treatments have risen by 6.66%, according to data compiled by the British Pest Control Association.
